The Situation

When one of our clients was awarded a large outsourcing contract in their Open Systems division it created an immediate need for highly skilled technical expertise.

The Approach
Through proactive communication with the client, IT Associates was prepared for the immediate need filling every position within two weeks. A total of seventeen high-level technical consultants were provided.

The Situation
In an effort to improve services, our client developed new and highly complex trading applications to help their traders be more efficient and effective. Our client's ambitions were in the right place but, unfortunately, the right personnel were not. Our client did not have an established quality assurance group in place to test all these new applications. Inevitably, they ran into developmental issues that were not addressed prior to entering production.

The Approach
Over a twelve-month period, IT Associates provided the client with a team of quality assurance testers of varying skill levels to work side-by-side with the company's developers on the new applications.

The Result
Structured development and delivery practices were implemented increasing the total quality of all new application development across the organization. Shorter release cycles of quality-tested applications are a priceless asset to our client's traders, and serve as the backbone of their business success.

Financial Trading Entity

The Situation
Our client wanted to maintain their leadership position within the financial trading industry. Their strategy was to harness the power of advanced technology systems in order to improve services on the trading floor and infrastructure. However, our client found it difficult to keep up with the demand for highly skilled technical expertise, as well as manage employee turnover in a highly stressful environment.

The Approach
The client chose to partner with IT Associates to provide a team of technical support consultants on the trading floor. The team would provide hardware, software and network support for nearly ten thousand devices. As outlined in a service level agreement (SLA), the team would report directly to the trading floor support division manager and restore a failing device within minutes of notification.

The Result
In one of the most stressful business world environments, the partnership with IT Associates has provided our client with the ability to consistently maintain the high standard of service required by their members. Our client has experienced a dramatic reduction in turnover, thereby allowing them to focus on their core business and ongoing success. More than a dozen of IT Associates' trading floor technicians have been promoted and transitioned into full-time positions with our client. IT Associates continues to provide this client with quality people to assist in meeting their information technology needs in this fast-paced and highly demanding environment.

Healthcare Provider

The Situation
A large, fully integrated not-for-profit health care delivery organization was in the process of preparing a cost benefit analysis for one of the metropolitan hospitals in their network. The plan was to close their computer room and relocate systems to other data centers in the network. As the hospital proceeded with the plan, existing full-time staff was relocated to other areas of the company, leaving the data center unprepared to continue operations successfully.

The Approach
IT Associates was contracted by this client to keep the data center functioning at full capacity during the scheduled relocation and transfer of full-time employees. The transition and management of this project was much greater and more complex than originally anticipated by the client, but IT Associates was prepared for the challenge. IT Associates provided as many as twelve help desk operators and support staff over three shifts at four hospitals in the network.

The Result
By outsourcing their data center staffing needs to IT Associates, the client was able to remain focused on their current project at hand, which led to a successful consolidation of its data centers.
